Six Month Catch-up

Happy New Year!

Okay, well, maybe not Happy New Year since it’s nearly the middle of July and all, but rather Happy New Routine…New Goal…New Attempt.

Writing has never been my forte.  I always have good intentions and make mental notes throughout the day of all the things I want to blog about…ideas and happenings I want to share with the world, but something always seems to come up that “prevents” me from taking the time.  I put “prevents” in quotes because, let’s be honest, I’m sure I could find the time to post about what’s going on with the family, but just haven’t made it a priority.  Well, this is my <next> attempt at keeping the world updated with what the family is doing, how we’re trying to save the world one plastic bag or one composted butternut squash at a time, what keeps us ticking.

Here’s to second (or third…or fourth) tries.

Welcome!

Welcome to Down the Road Less Traveled.  This blog will be a means of documenting our family’s journey.  We are excited that you are interested in following along.

Why did you choose the title Down the Road Less Traveled, you ask?  Because many of our life choices are not generally seen as mainstream.

Our family wears many hats, some of which include:  active duty military, home educators, vegetarian, secular humanists, and living sustainably.

Everyday we continue our journey…Down the Road Less Traveled.
